believe, is truly eerie.The scene with the clown on the bed in particular, never fails to
turn my blood cold.Actually the scene embodies some of my favourite Columbo themes-the
sheer brilliance of Columbo and how that kind of intelligence can be quite spooky,the way
that something as seemingly innocuous as a clown can be so important and how often a
crucial witness can inadvertently see or hear something so vital to the case.The camera
work in that scene with the dark room and the brief moment of silence blows me away. |
