Plot:

An artist Barsini has an ex-wife, a wife and a live in model and they all live at the beach in two houses. He loves all three but his ex-wife Louise plans on moving in with her lover and psychologist. He agrees to paint the restaurant of an old friend, and while he is supposed to be painting he sneeks out and kills Louise and completes the picture from sketches. The psychologist gives Columbo tapes of dreams Louise made while his patient, and Columbo plays them for Barsini while he has his portrait painted. Columbo interprets her dreams as Barsini killing his agent years earlier.

Plot:

Bachelor's World founder, playboy Sean Brantly, announces he is to marry a model Tina. His long time lover and business partner Diane Hunter decides to sell her 51% share in the magazine and lets it be known she is flying to London. When she goes missing in London Columbo is asked to investigate. He believes she was killed on her way to the airport when her driver heard a gun shot during a stop on the way, Tina then pretends to be Diane flying to London in her place. The police tear apart the mansion looking for a body only for Diane to return from Europe, the whole thing a hoax to generate publicity and increase circulation. When Diane decides to sell anyway Sean kills her, but Columbo proves she really is dead by calling her beeper to locate the body.

Plot:

This 2-hour TV movie was originally presented as an installment of The ABC Saturday Mystery Movie in February of 1990. Patrick McGoohan (who also directed) plays a vice presidential candidate whose best friend murders a blackmailing racketeer. With "damage control" foremost in his mind, McGoohan arrange to make the murder look like a suicide. At this point, Lt. Columbo (Peter Falk) enters, and it's "cat and mouse" for the remaining 90 minutes. Oscar Finch is a long time friend of congressman Paul Machy, running mate of governor Montgomery. Oscar kills a business man Frank Staplan after he threatened to expose him and the congressman for helping him in 1969 unless he helps him again by shreading evidence against him. Oscar makes it look like a suicide, but a dry patch in the car park from his car, dried blood under the gun, a half sent fax and teeth marks in a piece of cheese help Columbo to catch him.

Plot:

A psycotic woman kills the man, her boss, responsible for having her husband sent to prison then turns her attention to Columbo who made the arrest. She slips out during dinner to use the man's cash card in an ATM to obscure the time of death, but the man had $1400 in winnings in his pocket. She tries to lay the blame on a number of families in dispute with the company. She attempts to kill Columbo's wife using poisoned marmalade, so Columbo pretends she died to trick a confession out of the woman.

Plot:

A dentist's father-in-law throws him out of his practice and encourages his daughter to divorce him. He decides to frame his wife Lydia for murder, mixing up a time release paste cement laced with digitalus which he uses to fix her lovers crown. That night the lover dies and he helps to cover up the death planting false clues pointing at his wife Lydia. Columbo uses the dentists poor understanding of chemistry to trick him into confessing.

Plot:

A romance novelist Theresa Goren agrees to marry her playboy lover Wayne Jennings. He drives through the night from a tennis tournament in palm springs after he gets a call from Theresa claiming she does not want see him again and he shoots her dead. Jess McCurdy, Theresa's sister and publicist, made the call to break them up and hired a detective to gather dirt on him. He confesses to murder after the mileage on his car does not match, but he is released when the fatal shot is not from his gun. Wayne killed her while she slept, dressed her and made it look like a robbery. He planned to return to palm springs but could not get away when a cable repair truck parked in the street outside so shot her again, but the label in Theresa's panties was on the wrong side, a mistake only a man could make.
